Pamphylia, Aspendus. c. 420-370 BC. Stater, 10.92gg. (5h). Obv: Two wrestlers confronted, grasping each other by the arms; to right, countermark. Rx: ÅÓÔFÅÄÉÉÕ Slinger, wearing short chiton, advancing right, about to discharge his sling; in right field, triskeles; all within dotted square frame. Cf. SNG Paris 53 (also with countermark). Countermark on edge of obverse. Slinger on reverser unusually well struck. Near Mint State.
